The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) is an annual competition held on the Han River from late May through July, with qualifying rounds every Saturday evening and a grand finale in mid-July. Teams from different countries compete with 20–25 minute displays synchronised to music, fired from a barge over the river. Grandstand tickets at the Han River grandstand run from ₫1,000,000 (general seating) to ₫4,000,000 (VVIP) for qualifying rounds; finale tickets are higher. Free viewing spots exist along Trần Hưng Đạo and the riverfront, but the grandstand is worth it for the front-on angle.
