Chùa Hải Tạng is a Buddhist temple on Hòn Lao, the main island in the Cham Islands group, 18 km off the coast from Hội An. It is a genuine working temple that has served the island's permanent fishing community for generations. Getting there requires a boat transfer from Cửa Đại or Hội An wharf (ferry or speed boat; budget ₫350,000–₫500,000 return). The temple itself is free. Most visitors combine it with a Cham Islands day trip that includes snorkelling and lunch.
