Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula is Da Nang's most striking temple, watched over by a 67m white statue of Lady Buddha — the tallest in Vietnam and visible from much of the city. The grounds are calm and well kept, with bonsai gardens, a big prayer hall and terraces looking straight back across the bay to the beaches and skyline. It's an active place of worship, so dress with shoulders and knees covered. Most people fold it into a Son Tra loop. The setting, halfway up the green headland with the sea below, is the real draw. Free to enter.
