Chùa Nam Sơn

A working Buddhist temple on the outskirts of Da Nang, well away from the tourist trail and largely visited by locals. Nam Son has landscaped grounds, ornate halls and quiet gardens that make a peaceful stop if you want to see a living neighbourhood temple rather than a headline sight. There's little English signage and few other visitors, which is rather the point. Dress modestly and keep your voice down; people come here to pray. It's an easy, calm detour if you're exploring beyond the beaches, and there's nothing to pay.
