If you want clothes in Da Nang, go upstairs at Han Market. Chợ Hàn is the covered market at 119 Trần Phú, Hải Châu 1, Hải Châu, on the city side of the Han River. The Da Nang city portal, on a page dated 4 April 2024, lists it open 06:00–19:00. The products on that page are mắm nêm, mực rim me, chả bò, dried seafood and handmade souvenirs. It does not list clothes, and it does not list a ticket. The city wrote a food list. Travellers still climb the stairs for shirts. I would rather say that than invent a clothing directory the portal does not have.
The clothes floor is the one travellers use. Fabric, plain clothes and souvenirs sit upstairs. Branded-looking copies are the subject of the Han Market guide, including the 5 June 2026 inspection. I am not repeating that police report here as a shopping list.
The photos are old. They show the building and the fabric floor, not today’s stall names. I will not pretend an old bolt of cloth has a current price tag.
Quick facts
- Clothes floor: upper floor of Han Market, 119 Trần Phú, Hải Châu.
- Han hours: 06:00–19:00 on the city portal, 4 April 2024.
- What that page names: mắm nêm, mực rim me, chả bò, dried seafood, handmade souvenirs. Not clothes.
- Con Market: 318 Ông Ích Khiêm, Hải Châu 2. Hours 07:00–19:30. Food, not a clothes hall, on the same page.
- Made-to-measure: Hoi An old town, not a Da Nang market stall.
- Entry fee: the city portal does not list a ticket for Han or Con. I am not stating one.
Han Market is the clothes market
Downstairs is the food market. The city portal’s product list matches that: dried seafood, mắm, chả bò, souvenirs. The food guide is the page for eating there. Go down if you are hungry. Go up if you need something to wear.
Upstairs is fabric and clothes. A 2015 photograph of that floor shows bolts of cloth, which is the ordinary market purchase. A bag with a luxury logo and no invoice is a different purchase, and the Han Market guide is where that June 2026 inspection is written up. I am not giving a stall count, a bargaining percentage, or a “fake market” price. I do not have a current one.
Fruit and vegetables are the ground floor of these halls, not a separate clothes street. I am not naming a “best” shopping street. The two covered markets with published hours are Han and Con. If a guide names another street and cannot show you the hours, leave it.
Con Market is the other hall
Con Market (Chợ Cồn) is at 318 Ông Ích Khiêm, Hải Châu 2, Hải Châu. The same city portal page lists it 07:00–19:30. The products it names are bánh xèo, bánh tráng cuốn thịt heo, nem lụi, mắm tôm, dried seafood and bánh tráng Túy Loan.
That is a food market. I would not send someone there for a wardrobe. Eat there, then go back to Han if the point of the trip is clothes. The food guide covers what to order.
Hoi An is the tailor trip
A dress or a suit that is cut for you is Hoi An, not a stall at Han. The getting around guide puts the Grab car at about 45 minutes. The Hoi An old town guide names Yaly Couture, Bebe Tailor and A Dong Silk on Nguyen Thai Hoc and Le Loi, and it has the price ranges and the fitting time. I am not copying those prices onto this page. They belong with the fitting, not with a Da Nang fabric stall.
Han can sell you cloth and a ready-made piece the same day. It is not a two-fitting tailor. If you only have an afternoon in Da Nang, use Han. If you can stay in Hoi An long enough for a fitting, use that guide.
Getting there, and where to sleep
Han Market is a walk from the river. The getting around Da Nang guide notes that Bạch Đằng from the Dragon Bridge to Han Market is comfortable on foot. The city centre is that grid, and hotels near Dragon Bridge are the stays that can walk to the clothes floor.
Rosamia Da Nang Hotel is not a market hotel. It is at 282 Vo Nguyen Giap, My Khe, Ngũ Hành Sơn. Agoda puts Dragon Bridge 2.4 km from the hotel and the airport 5.07 km. From My Khe, take Grab to Trần Phú. Do not plan to walk the clothes market from the beach.
October is the wrong month to treat the beach as the main event. Climatestotravel puts the bulk of Da Nang’s rain in September to December, and lists October at about 650 mm over 20 days. February to April is the dry season on that page. June and July stay far drier than October. If your dates are in that lighter stretch, book the sea-view room early and keep a free-cancellation rate. This page is the markets.
FAQ
Where is the clothes market in Da Nang?
The upper floor of Han Market, 119 Trần Phú, Hải Châu. The city portal lists the building 06:00–19:00. Clothes are not on its product list. The floor itself is fabric, clothes and souvenirs. That is the floor I would climb for.
What time does Han Market open?
06:00–19:00, on the Da Nang city portal page dated 4 April 2024. Con Market, on the same page, is 07:00–19:30. Han is the earlier door if you want both.
Is Con Market for clothes?
No. The city portal names bánh xèo, bánh tráng cuốn thịt heo, nem lụi, mắm tôm, dried seafood and bánh tráng Túy Loan at 318 Ông Ích Khiêm. Use it for food. Use Han upstairs for clothes. I would not swap those.
Where should I have clothes made?
Hoi An. The old town guide covers tailors on Nguyen Thai Hoc and Le Loi, including how long a fitting takes. Han is same-day ready-made and cloth. Hoi An is the fitting. I would not ask a market stall to pretend otherwise.
Is there an entry fee?
The city portal does not list a ticket for Han Market or Con Market. I am not stating a fee. If the official page is silent, so am I.
Can I walk to Han Market from a My Khe hotel?
No. Han is on the river in Hải Châu. A My Khe stay such as Rosamia is a Grab ride away. Hotels on the Dragon Bridge side of the river are the ones that can walk. From My Khe, take the Grab and keep your energy for the stairs.
